THE QUEST
My quest for a true friend ends,
for i've befriended the best ones.
although i had a few,
but luck departed them too.
often i wished to get one,
now i've succeeded in finding one.
Gone are those days,
when ifelt aloof in many ways.
many were there along my way,
but no one pleased my hear i say.
for they never sensed my loyalty,
i too considered them as flighty.
Then came the turning point of my life,
for i've met three of my type.
now i too can stand out and act,
since no more i am a solitary brat.
all that was what i wanted,
not just taking things for granted.
Now i am in the seventh heaven,
which makes me feel quiet ridden,
of the past brunt, that i've gone through.
for i've got only three,
thats quite enough for me.
(This poem is dedicated to my three best friends)
